NAFE, founded in 1972, is the largest women's professional and business owners' association in the U.S. (2009)

DiversityInc named Colgate as one of the Top 50 Companies for 2009. Colgate was included on this list in 2005 and 2006. DiversityInc, an organization that focuses on the business benefits of diversity, recognizes companies that value differences in their workforce and identify diversity as a critical component of driving business growth. The 50 companies were selected based on their management of diversity initiatives, including fostering an inclusive work environment and supplier diversity. (2009)

DiversityBusiness.com selected Colgate as one of the Top 50 Corporate Buyers of Diversity Products and Services in the United States. More than 600,000 multicultural business owners voted to select companies for this honor. The Flexible Packaging Association awarded Colgate-Palmolive's new Softsoap® hand soap refill a Silver Award for its environmental benefits, including reduced emissions, waste and energy consumption resulting from a manufacturing process that uses half the nonrenewable energy and carbon dioxide emissions compared with comparably sized PET bottles. Additionally, the materials used to produce the pouch weigh 50 percent less than PET bottles. (2009)
